Carl Francis Meadows, 92, of Dasher, died on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at The Orchard. Born on May 10, 1929, Carl was the son of the late Lonnie Newman Meadows and Mellye McDaniel Meadows. He was a self-employed mechanic and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. A member of Open Bible Church, Carl was also a Mason. He was a loving grandfather and great grandfather.
Widower of the late Betty Jean Brown Meadows, Carl is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Steve Dykes of Valdosta; his grandchildren, Gabe and wife Kristin of Valdosta; Blake Dykes and wife Sophie, also of Valdosta; and great grandchildren, Savannah Dykes, Levi Dykes, Anson Dykes, and Annabelle Dykes. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, along with his special canine companion, Peanut. He is preceded in death by his brothers and sister, James Meadows, Jerry Meadows, Edward Meadows, Cannie Meadows, Sandy Meadows, and Doris Arnold.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, April 3, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. at Dasher Cemetery. Reverend Carroll Joye will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. before going to the cemetery.
