Actress. She was best known for playing the character roles of clerks, prostitutes, stewardesses, cashiers, and even a russian soldier. She will be best remembered for playing the role of the 'Young Girl' in the comedy film, "The Cruise" (1970). The film which was directed by Marek Piwowski, which was written for the screen by Andrzej Barszczynski, Janusz Glowacki, and Jerzy Karaszkiewicz, and which also starred Stanislaw Tym and Wanda Stainswska-Lothe tells the story of a stowaway on a cruise ship who is mistaken for an entertainment director. She is also best remembered for playing the 'Prostitute 'Lola' in the episode entitled, "Prawo jazdy," of the comedy romance drama television series, "Daleko od szosy," which originally aired in 1976, and which also starred Krzysztof Stroinski, Slawomira Lozinska, and Elzbieta Jasinska. She was born in Wilno, Poland, (now Vilnius, Lithuania), to the actress Wanda Stanislawska-Lothe (1910-1985), on April 19, 1942. She was educated locally and later attended and graduated from the distinguished National Higher School of Theatre in Warsaw, Poland, in 1966. She eventually worked as a stage actress and appeared in stage productions at the Syrena Theater from 1966 to 1967, the Classic Theater from 1968 to 1972, the Studio Theater from 1972 to 1976, and the National Theatre from 1976 to 1982. During her time on the stage, she also made the transition to film and television. She made her actual film debut playing the role of the 'Girl in the Window' in the short sports film drama, 'Walkover" (1965), which was directed and written by Jerzy Skolimowski, and which also starred Aleksandra Zawieruszanka, Krzysztof Chamiec, and Stanislaw Zaczyk, and is the story of a young boxer named Andrzej Leszczyc who not only has to face a tough boxing opponent but who needs to make some serious personal and professional choices. Her last television role was playing 'Tereza Struzik' in 425 episodes of the popular soap opera television series, "Barwy szczescia," from 2007 to 2021. During her acting career she also used the names of J. Lothe and Jolanta Lotheová. She kept acting until her death. She passed away from natural causes on April 1, 2022, at the age of 69, and just a couple of weeks from what would have been her 70th birthday. She was married twice, first to the television writer, playwright, and theater director, Helmut Kajzar from 1972 until his death on August 21, 1982. The couple had one child together. She was married second to actor and film director Piotr Lachmann (with whom she also ran an experimental "Videoteatr Poza" in Warsaw, Poland), from 1984 until her death on April 1, 2022.
