Floyd E. Wilson, 84, of Paris Crossing, passed away at 5:10 p.m. on March 30, 2022, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour. Born March 8, 1938, in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late Byford and Alice M. (Abplanalp) Wilson. He married Jean Pedigo on June 4, 1960, at Fairfax Christian Church in Indianapolis; she survives.

Floyd was a 1956 graduate of Southport High School and served in the U. S. Army from 1956-1959. He worked as a Chemical Manufacturing Supervisor for Eli Lily in Tippecanoe Lakes from 1964-1993 before retiring. Floyd moved to Paris Crossing in 2003 and became a member of United Christian Church in Paris Crossing where he enjoyed the fellowship of his church family, choir and church activities. He was a member of the American Legion. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, anything outdoors, playing cards and cruising, as well as spending time with his family.

Surviving with his wife, Jean, are his children, Paula (Morton) Imamura, Robert "Bobby" (Shannon) Wilson, and Carol Hill; grandchildren, Christina (Richard) Watt, John (Jessica) Black, Michael Black, Eric (Maria) Imamura, Trystin Wilson, Brandon Wilson, and Logan Hill; great-grandchildren, Trey, Heaven, Sybil, Isaac, Carolyn, Rachel, Angel, Angelina, Damien, Dinah, Raiden, and Nixen; and siblings, Mary Alice Wilson, Anna Fiest, and Robert Lee (Sharon) Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Carol Jean Singleton.

A funeral service for Floyd will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at the United Christian Church in Paris Crossing, with the Rev. Damon Marling officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. Military rites will be given by members of Matt Hester Post #2021 V. F. W. at the church.
