Joyce Summerville
Former area resident Joyce Summerville, 70, of Chippawa, Ontario, Canada, died Thursday, December 11, 1997, at her home.
Born in Freedom on January 28, 1927, she was a daughter of Charles E. and Orrel (Marble) Howlett. In 1946, in Canada, she married Roy Summerville, who predeceased her.
Surviving are two sons, Charles (Donna) Summerville of Fort Erie, Ontario, and Larry (Dorothy) Summerville of Chippawa, Ontario; four grandchildren, Matthew, (Rhonda), Michael, Stacey and Corey, all of Canada; two sisters, Charlotte Green of Arcade and Margaret (Vincent) Vullo of Buffalo; two brothers, Willard (Gladys) Howlett of Eggertsville and Bertram (Betty) Howlett of Lockport; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbbsnd, Mrs. Summerville was predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and John Yarnes.
Funeral services were held in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada on Monday, December 15, with burial in the Freedom Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
Arrangements were made by the Patterson Funeral Home, Niagara Falls, Ontario.
