David A. Brewer passed away on December 16, at his home in Kalamazoo, MI at the age of 72. David was born in Battle Creek, MI to Roy and Bonnie Brewer on July 29, 1948. David graduated from Battle Creek Public Schools and received his Associated Degree from Kellogg Community College.
David started his employment at the Kelloggs Company in Battle Creek, MI, in 1969 and left after 25 years of service. Then worked 10 years at Tokai Rika Manufacturing in Battle Creek.
David enjoyed cooking, watching Syfy and western movies, listening to music and collecting records. He also loved spending time with his grandson and taking him to McDonalds for lunch.
During David's lifetime he grew curious about his creator. He spent much time reading and meditating on the enlightening promises from God's word in the Bible. David also enjoyed attending many Christian meetings. Because of this he was able to satisfy his spiritual need. (Matthew 5:3) He also gained insight into the many wonderful qualities of his savior Jesus Christ and his heavenly Father, Jehovah God. This gave David much joy as he was comforted in learning the many promises that God made concerning the near future. David also found comfort in the promise of a resurrection, (Acts 24:15), these promises brought David much comfort and are soon to be fulfilled (2 Timothy 3:1-5).
David is preceded in death by his parents Roy and Bonnie Brewer and his sisters Linda Blackwell and Deborah Brewer.
David is survived by his daughter Nikkea Brewer and grandson Taurian Jones both of Kalamazoo, MI; his brother Larry Brewer of Wyoming, MI; sister Brenda (John) Wilson of Kalamazoo, MI and a host nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
