MR. JAMES LEWIS PERRY – Age 85, of Summerville, Georgia passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022. He was born December 1, 1936. He was a Deacon and Treasurer at Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Summerville, GA (Gore Community). He was a graduate of Chattooga County High School in 1955 in Holland, GA. He proudly served in the United States Army for 8 years. He retired from the Chattanooga Housing Authority in 1998 where he was employed as a Central Maintenance Supervisor. He enjoyed gardening, carpentry, motorcycling, and ATV riding in his spare time. He is preceded by his daughter, Cynthia Renee Perry, mother, Ruby Porter, step-father, Elbert Porter, aunt, Frankie Jett, and special cousin, Louise Shropshire.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Paulette Mosely Perry; daughters, Lydia Marie Perry and Danielle Yvette Perry; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 16 brothers-in-law and sisters-in law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Homegoing Service will be Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 2:00 P. M. at Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 265 Oak Hill Baptist Rd, Summerville, GA 30747, with Pastor George Beavers, Eulogist. The family will receive friends from 1:30 P. M. until the funeral hour on Sunday. Interment, Oak Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, GA.
