Jessie Brown Harvey (JB), 89, of Dixie, passed from this life on March 31, 2022, at his home. JB was born in Dixie on October 22, 1932, to the late Laura and Jess Harvey.
In addition to his parents, JB is preceded in death by his sister, Maxine Clark.
JB lived his entire life in Dixie. He was a proud farmer, Army veteran, and Mason. JB loved working in the yard, whether it be gardening or planting pecan trees. He loved keeping up with current events. JB was also a collector, who had an affinity for arrowheads. Most importantly, JB loved being with his family.
JB is survived by his wife of 34 years, Dorris Harvey; sons, Bobby Wayne Griffin and James Neal Griffin, both of Dixie; daughters, Terri Kidder (Kevin) of TN and Christine Delores Cox of Dixie; brother, Harold Harvey of NC; great-grandchild, Brantley Griffin; and a host of grandkids, family, and friends.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
