"L. Clyde Holman, 78, of 1017 N.E. 24th Ave., North Kansas City, died Saturday at the North Kansas City Memorial Hospital. He was born in La Cygne, Kan., and had lived in this area most of his life. Mr. Holman worked for the A&P food stores for 40 years before he retired as a checker in 1968. He was a charter member and deacon of the Glenwood Baptist Temple. He was a member of the Golden Age Club of Kansas City, North, and the Senior Citizens Bowling League. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Thelma M. Holman of the home; two sons, Kenneth C. Holman and Ralph L. Holman of Kansas City; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Saunders and Mrs. Dorothy Rose of La Cygne; four granddaughters and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Newcomer North Kansas City Chapel; burial in White Chapel Cemetery." The Kansas City Times, February 15, 1982
