Michael Gene Russell, age 65, of Foster, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Saint Elizabeth Hospital, in Edgewood, Kentucky. He was born on September 13, 1956, to the late Gene Dempsey and Wilma Faye Sullivan Russell. Mike was a member of Mount Moriah Christian Church, was owner of a blacktopping company and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed horses, hunting and fishing, along with good food and good music.
He is survived by: two children, Curtis Russell, of Independence, Kentucky, and Michelle Russell, of Denver, Colorado; and his faithful dog, Barkley. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jo Russell. The family is reunited once again.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 4, at Woodhead Funeral Home, in Falmouth, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., preceding the service. His final resting place will be at Turner Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Woodhead Funeral Home to help offset funeral costs.
