Jack had married the love of his life, Cynthia (Yost) Chambers on December 15, 1956 in Muncie and she preceded him in death 2015. He had worked for Delco Battery in Muncie for 45 years prior to his retirement as a forklift driver. He was a member of the United Auto workers Union Local # 489, and the Central Indiana Old Car Club. He enjoyed doing yard work.
Survivors include 2 sons, Mike Chambers (Dee) Yorktown and Scott Chambers, Bristol, Indiana; 1 daughter, Penny Hignite (Jay), Muncie; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife of 60 years, Cynthia, he was preceded in death by his parents; 1 daughter, Lisa Chambers; 3 sisters, Margie Ogburn, Joyce Bennett and Pam Chapman; three brothers-in-law, Rex Ogburn, Howard Bennett and O' Neil Chapman.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Dennis Trimble officiating. Burial will follow at Tomlinson Cemetery.
