Died at Bannack
A telephone message was received from Bannack yesterday announcing the death of Tom Magee, the 17-year-old son of E. T. Magee of that place. He has been employed on the Coast Gold Dredge boat during the past summer. A year ago he had a hard spell of typhoid fever which left him in a very week (sic) condition, but the cause of his death was spinal meningitis. The funeral was conducted by Rev. R. P. Smith this afternoon at 2 o'clock and the remains were laid to rest in the Bannack Cemetery.
The deceased was a young man of exemplary habits and character and was a general favorite among those who knew him, and leaves many friends who mourn his death.
