George R. Mason, Jr.

George R. Mason, Jr. age 84 of Greenville, went home with the Lord, Sunday, March 20, 2022 at home under the loving care of family and Promedica Hospice formerly Heartland Hospice. He was born in Greenville, the son of George R. & Beulah (Jones) Mason, Sr. On September 6, 1955, George married the love of his life Diana (Blum) Mason. George worked at Peterson's Farm in Grenville for approximately 45 years. He loved fishing, hunting, tinkering with engines, took pride in his yard, picnicking with his sweetheart down by the river, as well as playing with his grandchildren. George had 8 children, surviving are Wanda (Glenn) Adams of Greenville, Richard Olsen of Greenville and Julie (Doug) Martin of Texas; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; brother Alan Mason of Greenville; many nieces and nephews and his best friend Carl Quay of Greenville. He is preceded in death by his wife Diana, parents, and children Terri, Donna, George, Ed, and Diane. Funeral & Committal Services will be 1 PM Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the Greenville Community Church, with Pastor Brian Savage officiating. All visitation will be held at 11am till the service at 1pm at the church. There will be a luncheon at the church immediately following the service. The burial will be in West Montcalm Cemetery (Wolverton Plains). The family suggests that when making a memorial contribution in George's name please consider the need of the family.
