Martha Williamson Hughes, 76, passed away March 30, 2022.
Born in Washington, D.C., a daughter of the late Dr. James Cleveland Williamson and Betty Lee Collop Williamson, she held a Master's Degree in Education from Michigan State University and was a retired educator for Buchanan, MI School System.
Surviving are her husband, Charles Anderson Hughes of the home; one son, James David Hughes (Maureen) of Greer; one daughter, Kelley Boyle (Scott) of Greer; one brother, Jim Williamson of Greer; one sister, Barbara Turner (John) of Canton, Texas; and nine grandchildren, Zachary Hughes, Ann Marie Nash Broomell, Nick Knoeldorfer, Cayd Hughes, Alyssa Boyle (Jordan), Carly Grant (John), Hannah Boyle, Jed Boyle and Mia Boyle.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at The Wood Mortuary Chapel.
