It is with great sadness that we announce that Gustavo "Gus" Ramon Hinojosa, 89, of Brighton, CO, died November 10, 1998.
Gus was born in Green Canyon, Colorado, January 8, 1908, to Jesus Garza Hinojosa and Lucinda De Arago Hinojosa.
In 1942 he married Jennie Garcia. Mr. Hinojosa served in the U.S. Air Force for three years. He worked as a mechanic and welder for Allied Chemical Corporation for 30 years. Gus was a member of Assumption Catholic Church. Services were held on November 15, 1997.
He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 43 years; his parents, Jesus and Lucinda Hinojosa; sisters, Dora Lucero; Lucia LIra-Muniz; and brothers Alphonso l and Ray Hinojosa.
Survivors include sons Gus Jr. of Westminster, CO; Ron of Thornton, CO; daughters Judy Kruse of California; Gloria Garcia of Utah; brothers, Herman Hinojosa of Denver, CO; Alfonso of Florida, Fernando (Fred) of California, Jesse Hinojosa (AKA Jess Glenn Hiney); sisters Stella Apodaca and Mary Jane Hoskins, both of California, and two grandchildren.
Gus requested that his ashes be scattered in the Colorado mountains.
