Mr. Walter Edward Griffin, Jr., age 81, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at his home.
Edward was born on Sunday, September 25, 1940, in Barnesville, Georgia. He was the son of the late Walter Edward Griffin, Sr., and the late Esther McBroom Griffin. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Ty. Edward was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was also a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Edward is survived by the love of his life and wife of 63 years, Carol Eason Griffin; children and their spouses, Dean & Renae Griffin, Todd & Michele Griffin, Don & Stephanie Griffin; grandchildren and their spouses, Chase & Yuki Griffin, Chad & Samantha Griffin, Kelly Griffin, Pashia Griffin, Madison Griffin, Logan Griffin, Amanda Levine, Ty Griffin, Jr., Trey Griffin, Zachary Griffin; step-grandchildren, Devin Reeves, Derian Adams, Dane & Shannon Adams; 14 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Lisa Griffin; sisters, Jackie "Polly" Purser, Sue & Terry Smith; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Walter Edward Griffin, Jr. will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in Greenwood Cemetery with son Dean Griffin officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
