Jane Kathryn Barnes, 93, Green Bay, passed away, Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Allouez Parkside Village, CBRF. She was born October 15, 1928 in Eldorado, WI to Lester and Marie (Henning) Dins.

Jane graduated from the Beaver Dam High School.

She married Fred Barnes May 21, 1949 in Beaver Dam. In 1960 they moved to Algoma where they owned and operated the F & J Foods in Algoma for a few years. They were married over 60 years, when Fred preceded her in death on February 25, 2010.
Jane started her cooking career at Carol's Coffee Shop and then at Dairy Dan's. She was well known for her famous potato salad.

Jane was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Jane is survived by her three children Jeff (Sue) Barnes, Sturgeon Bay; Steve (Sue) Barnes, Green Bay and Brenda Obregon, Alma, CO.; 10 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one sister Polly Franke, Beaver Dam; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred and one granddaughter Krista.

There will be a public visitation, Monday, April 4, 2022 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Algoma from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM with Rev Joel McKenney and Rev. John Moll officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The Schinderle Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Algoma, were entrusted with the arrangements for Jane.
