Elizabeth Jane Humphreys was the 2nd child of 13 born on 12 December 1840, in Indiana. Her parents were Ansley Fitzgerald Humphreys 20 yrs. and mother Ellen Elinor Taylor 18 yrs. She married Allen Wesley Cherrington on 11 December 1856, in Knox, Illinois. They were the parents of four sons and seven daughters.
OBITUARY: Cherrington, Mrs. A.W.died this morning in Galesburg. Funeral will be Saturday morning at residence 1067 Monroe St. The burial will be in the Westfall Cemetery near Barefoot. Elizabeth Jane Humphrey was born in Indiana, Dec, 12, 1840, married A.W. Cherrington Dec. 11, 1856. He died three years ago. Ten children~five survive, Mrs. J.W. McGrath, Mrs C.M.
