Gary Duane Griffin, son of Oscar and Lillie (Kent) Griffin was born on March 25, 1937 in Hillpoint, Wisconsin. He became a child of God through Holy Baptism. He was confirmed in the Christian faith.

On March 25, 1963, he was united in marriage to Della Marie Muchow at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Hillpoint.. He worked at the American Motors Plant in Kenosha, Badger Ordinance, K-Mart in Baraboo and lastly as a security guard at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center. His joys were his wife, his family, his friends and his love of fishing.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years: Della; a sister-in-law: Dolores Muchow; and by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Theron and Freeman; and four sisters: Odetta Canaan, Shirley Schulz, Gyneth Pyfferoen and Thelma Canaan.

Gary Duane Griffin died peacefully on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the Sauk County Health Care Center at the age of eighty-five years.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Hillpoint with Pastor Daniel Lewig and Pastor Conrad Prell officiating. There will be a visitation after 10:00 A.M. on Saturday at the church. His earthly remains will await the final summons of his Lord for his resurrection to Eternal Glory at Greenwood Cemetery in Reedsburg. In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church would be appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff of the Sauk County Health Care Center for the kind and compassionate care given to both Gary Duane and Della.
