Donna R. Ried age 48 of Bear, Delaware, wife of Wilfredo Rivas-Guevarez, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Wednesday October 5, 2016.
Donna worked at Discover Card in the late 1980s to early 1990s, Rock Manor Golf Course from early 90s to 2005 and lastly North East Express Medical Supply Co. until 2012. In all the places she worked she made many life long friends. Donna enjoyed spending her time at the beach, with friends, family and her pets. She was a collector of all kinds of Precious Moments and loved to collect Snow men. She also was a big fan of Nascar and a bigger fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
Donna is survived by her mother Patricia A. Ried, her children Francheska Rivas and Wilfredo Rivas Jr. Her uncle Phillip Vitalo and wife Patricia Vitalo, uncle John Vitalo and wife Maryann Vitalo, her aunt Joann Hennessy and husband Michael F. Hennessy, her aunt Maureen Vitalo and lastly her two pets whom she considered her children also, Angel and Leland. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father Donald Roy Ried, her Uncle Frank Vitalo and her grandparents John Vitalo and Philomena Vitalo.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 12, 2016 from 10:00 am - 11:30 am at the Corleto-Latina Family Center 807 N. Unoin Street, Wilmington, DE . Interment will be held privately in All-Saints Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Elks Lodge, following the visitation to celebrate the life of Donna.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions be made to Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, 220 Continental Drive, Suite 407 Newark, DE 19713, or to The Corleto-Latina Funeral Home.
