Roger Wayne Taylor was born in Walton, Roane County, West Virginia, on August 9, 1952, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at his home in Cowen, West Virginia, surrounded by his loving family.

Roger was a proud Marine who served our country during the Vietnam War in Okinawa, Japan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, Roger was a very caring man who loved his grandchildren dearly. His memory will be carried on through the many loved ones whom he has left behind.

He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Taylor of Cowen, West Virginia, and Tinia Taylor of Beverly, West Virginia, grandchildren, Conner and Paige Hammons, Emberlee Taylor, Teara, Deaunna, and Rylee Stout, Oscar and Haley Myers, sisters, Shirley Riffle of Beverly, and Judy (Hubert) Key of Mount Pleasant.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Gaye and Basil Taylor, daughter, Christina Taylor, nephew, Leroy Taylor, fiancé, Tammy Stout.

Roger will be missed by many other loved ones which include, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other friends.

Services were held at 1:00 PM Monday, March 28, 2022, at Morris Funeral Home Cowen. Burial with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 62, followed at The Woods Cemetery near Camden on Gauley. A gathering of family and friends was held from 12:00 PM until the time of service Monday at the Funeral Home.
