DAVIS -- Services for Bobby Vernon will be 2 p.m. today at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Willis and Jack Pack officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.
Born Jan. 5, 1931, at Sulphur to Otis C. and Emmo Jene Wallis Vernon, he died June 3, 1999, at Ardmore.
Vernon lived most of his life at Davis. He was a self-employed dairy farmer. Vernon was a member of the Dairy Men's Association and the Associated Milk Producers.
Survivors include his wife, Doris, of the home; one daughter, Gwendolyn Vernon, Davis; one son, Robert Keith Vernon, Davis; two sisters, Lola Faye Warner, Davis, and Joanna Rowe, Davis; two brothers, Marvin Vernon, Davis, and Otis C. Vernon Jr., Hawthorne, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
Bearers are James Goddard, Leon Sloan, Joe Pack, Kenneth Johnson, Dick Jones and Royce Dale Jones. Honorary bearers are Surge Beck, Neal Rose, George Carlson, James Carlson, Buck Wilson and Tucker Vernon.
