Eva Rademacher of Longmont died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006, at Wellspring in Louisville. She was 89. She was born Nov. 2, 1917, in Sterling to John and Mabel (Kloberdanze) Steinbach.


On Nov. 19, 1940, she married Albert Rademacher in Longmont, where the family made their home.


She grew up in Longmont. Mrs. Rademacher was very active with St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and had been a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed homemaking and her farm.


She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Oct. 28, 1972; a son, Donald Rademacher; and a sister, Margaret Appelhans.


Mrs. Rademacher is survived by two sons, James Rademacher and his wife Gloria of Estes Park, and Raymond Rademacher and his wife Carol of Longmont; four daughters, Alberta Baker and her husband George of Lakewood, Mary Jane Ross and her husband Leon of Longmont, Joann Rademacher of Seattle, and Patricia Walters and her husband Gene of Oakridge, N.C.; and a sister, Mary Ann Rademacher of Longmont.


Visitation will be held at Howe Mortuary in Longmont from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27. A rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with the Rev. Brian Morrow officiating. Interment will be at Foothills Gardens of Memory.
