Perry A. Ayersman, 52, of Rowlesburg, was killed in the railroad yards last Friday by an express. Mr. Ayersman, chief car inspector for the B & O Railroad, was on duty at the time of the death. He was born in Rowlesburg on July 16, 1894. He was married in 1916 to Miss Esther Shafferman, of Newburg. Survivors include his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Laura M. Hersman, of Clarksburg; his mother, Mrs. Laura Ayersman, of Rowlesburg; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Callis and Miss. Marguerite Ayersman, both of Rowlesburg and one grandson, John W. Hersman. Burial was in the Aurora Cemetery.
