Tom Cooper passed away at the age of 68, another victim of COVID. He was born in an Indianapolis hospital as the youngest of 9 children of Floyd & Frances (Maier) Cooper. He and his siblings lived with their parents near Goethe Link Observatory in Morgan County. His father passed away at home on Tom's second birthday. His mother would eventually move the family into town where he would graduate from Martinsville High School and attend Ball State University studying towards an art degree. In 1998 he and his then wife moved their family to Alaska.
He is survived by a son and daughter, one sister and three brothers. He was preceded in death by his oldest son Othaniel.
