Ejaz immigrated from Pakistan in 1988. He met 22 year old Bonnie Marsh that Spring and the two fell in love. In the Autumn of 1988 they married. Jordon, a son was born to them in 1989. The marriage is a happy one until the subject of faith surfaces a few years later. Ejaz is a Muslim and Bonnie is Christian who is not about to convert to her husband's faith. The two separate but remain close friends. Bonnie and Jordon move in with Bonnie's mother.

Ejaz is introduced to 26 year old Leah Ward who is virtually homeless. Ejaz falls for her charm and lies and invites her to stay at his place. He then decides she can live in his house and he moves in with a friend. When he proposes she readily accepts. She does not tell him she is still married, on probation and his worst nightmare. He is delighted when she offers to convert to the Muslim faith and soon they are married in a Muslim Ceremony

Ejaz Ahmad, 41, is found dead in a shed behind his house in Memphis, Tennessee in 2003 just months following the marriage
His body discovered by his 11-year-old son Jordan has been decapitated.

Leah Joy Ward was tried and found guilty of the murder and now serves life in prison.
