The body of the late Carroll Holbrook, who died suddenly Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock of heart failure in San Francisco, Calif., arrived in Garrett early this morning on the Baltimore and Ohio and was taken to the Geo. W. Iler mortuary, where services were conducted at 10:30. Burial was made in Cedar Chapel cemetery with the Rev. Ott of Albion, officiating.
Mr. Holbrook, who was born January 1, 1877, in Butler township, resided with his mother, Mrs. Clara Holbrook, three-fourths mile southeast of LaOtto.
About three weeks ago he left for the west coast to obtain employment in the ship yards.
Surviving besides the mother are a daughter, Mrs. John Wells of 129 East Wallace street, Fort Wayne; a son, Rex, who lives with his grandmother, and a brother, Clifford Holbrook of Detroit.
Mr. Holbrook was a member of the Methodist church.
