FITCHBURG -- Marilyn E. (LeBlanc) Sparks, 58, of 211 East St., died Saturday, Oct. 2, in The Highlands Longterm Care Center, after a long illness.
She was born in Fitchburg on Dec. 9, 1945, the daughter of Arthur and Mary (Burnell) LeBlanc Sr., and lived here all of her life.
Mrs. Sparks was a Medical Transcriptionist for Medquest Inc. for the past several years.
She was a member of the Highland Baptist Church in Fitchburg, was a 1963 graduate of Fitchburg High School, and attended Montachusett Regional Technical School, where she studied to be a Medical Assistant.
Mrs. Sparks leaves her husband of 39 years, Jerry P. Sparks; one daughter, Sherri A. Dinsmore, and her husband, Dean, of New Ipswich; one brother, Arthur LeBlanc Jr. of Groton, Conn.; three sisters, Teresa Cote of Bedford, Texas, Brenda Sandell of North Richland Hills, Texas and Elizabeth Amblo of Lunenburg; two grandchildren, Brook and Matison Dinsmore of New Ipswich, N.H.; and many nieces and nephews.
SPARKS -- On Oct. 2, Marilyn E. (LeBlanc) Sparks, 58, of Fitchburg. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 5, at 11:30 a.m. in the Fitchburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Home, (www.masciarellifamilyfuneralhomes.net, 129 Elm St., Fitchburg. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Fitchburg. There are no calling hours
