RED CROSS NURSE IS DEAD

Mrs. Emily Haynes Harrison, an old settler and pioneer of western Kansas died at the Bickerdyke Home, at Ellsworth, last night. Mrs. Harrison was a member of the Woman's Relief corps and during the civil war she served her country as a Red Cross nurse. Mrs. Harrison is survived by one son, Mr. W. W. Haynes. Five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. All live in Wichita. The Woman's Relief corps have charge and services will by conducted by Rev. C. D. Hiatwood of the Emporia Avenue M.E. church at the undertaking rooms of Kirker & Marsh, 235 North Main street. There will be a street car reserved for all those desiring to attend the services. The body will be interred in Highland cemetery.
