Mary Louise Davidson, 96, of Rush Hill, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Teal Lake Assisted Living in Mexico.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 4, 2022, from 10:00 A.M. until time of services at the church.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, April 4, 2022, at Rush Hill Community Church with Rev. Bob Stanford officiating the service.

Mary Lou was born on November 25, 1925, in Rush Hill, the daughter of Robert "Short" and Mabel (Allen) James. On August 23, 1945, she married Marvin C. Davidson, who preceded her in death.

Mary Lou had a passion for quilting and sewing. She volunteered at Audrain Medical Center by making quilts. Mary also sewed several prom dresses and wedding dresses for her grandchildren. Mary was a 4-H leader and a lifelong member of the Rush Hill Community Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for numerous years. Mary Lou teased the family that she wanted roses on her birthday. A special moment in Mary Lou's life was a gift from her granddaughter, Jennifer, of 96 roses on her 96th birthday.

Survivors include two sons, Ken (Susan) Davidson of Blue Springs and Jim (Peggy) Davidson of Paris; one sister, 99-year-old Gladys Rutter of Mexico; five grandchildren, Missy (Ed) Vitt of Paris, Robyn (Jason) Ragsdale of New Braunfels, TX, Jennifer Johnson of Ashland, Diane (Michael) Gendreau of Tucson, AZ, and Dennis (Sarah) Davidson of Murrieta, CA; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Davidson; her parents, Robert and Mabel James.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Rush Hill Community Church or Macular Degeneration Association. Memorials may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
