Julie spent many years working in Brinkley at Anheuser Busch and Arkla Gas. She later worked alongside her husband Bubba operating the Burns Insurance Agency. Julie volunteered at baseball games and never missed a game her son Matt played. She shared empathy, warmth and love with her family, friends, customers and strangers.
Julie battled dementia since 2004, and even with the debilitating effects of the disease, she brought great joy to others by often telling those around her that she loved them.
Julie is preceded in death by her grandparents Lambert C. and Bertrum Dial, Milferd Wilkerson and Muriel Mitchell, her parents Charles and Diane Wilkerson, her Uncle, Bert Dial and brother-in-law, Buddy Fitzhugh.
Julie is survived by her husband of 46 years, Bubba Burns of Brinkley, son Matt (Katie) Burns of North Little Rock, sister Patrice Fitzhugh of Brinkley, grandchildren Ellie & Charlie Burns of North Little Rock, nephew Luke (Kara) Fitzhugh and their children. God also blessed Julie with her bonus sisters: Kathi Hudspeth, Anna Grizzle and Becky Acree.
The family is very grateful to the staff of Spring Creek Health and Rehab with special appreciation to her loving nurses: Alicia, Chasity, Danielle, Dorian, Lacey and Tracy along with her Brinkley caregiver Joanne Parker. They loved and cared for Julie as they would their own family.
Family and friends will gather for graveside services at the Cotton Plant Cemetery on April 1, 2022 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please
