She was born on November 10, 1929, in Shelby County, OH, to the late Adolph and Elizabeth (Heitbrink) Buehler.
Anita was married to Homer A. Peltier and he preceded her in death on November 5, 1992, and later married Richard E. Cain and he preceded her in death on October 8, 2014.
Anita is survived by her daughters and son-in-law: Karen and Mike Burke of Arcanum, Joyce Peltier of Columbus and Darlene Peltier of Columbus; brother and sisters-in-law: Don and Rita Buehler of Oak Harbor; Kathy Buehler of Wapakoneta; sister: Laverta Kremer of Versailles; two grandchildren: Amy and Shawn and four great grandchildren: Josh, Sierra, Ricky and Kierra.
In addition to her parents and her spouses, she was preceded in death by brother: Marvin Buehler and brother-in-law: Howard Kremer.
Anita was a graduate of Minster High School and did post-graduate real estate studies through Sinclair College and Edison State Community College. She was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, where she served as a CCD teacher, Finance Committee member and Eucharistic minister. She was a former volunteer with the Miami County Right to Life. Also, she volunteered with the Hospice of Miami County, crocheting blankets for the patients. She served on the boards of the American Heart Association, Troy Area Chamber of Commerce and Troy United Fund and was a member of the Toastmasters.
Anita was a realtor in the Troy area for 30 years with Garden Gate and Galbreath Realty companies. She was a Past President of the Miami County Board of Realtors and served in various capacities with the state association of realtors. She was recognized as Realtor of the Year.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on April 6, 2022 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy.
Private interment will be held in Miami Memorial Park, Covington.
