She was born on April 4, 1961 in Amsterdam, New York, the daughter of Francis and Eila (Butler) Charles.
She attended the Johnstown High School, and was later employed as a cook by the Holiday Inn of Johnstown.
She was excellent at interior design and organizing things, from her home and flower garden, to family gatherings and social events. She enjoyed painting, crafting, and making things.
Kelly was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who lived for her family
Kelly is survived by her husband: Duane Robert Blackwood; her children: Justin (Whitney) Blackwood, Channing Blackwood, Amanda (Thomas) Mullins, and Sawyer (Amanda) Blackwood; her grandchildren: Jackson, Evan, Abbie, Kyle, Jase, Adam, Amara, and Vanessa; her siblings: Kim Charles-Rubscha, Karen Longfritz, and Richard (Teri) Charles; her brother-in-law: Jimmy Corapi; and her mother-in-law: Erma Blackwood.
