Kevin C. Lynch
December 10, 1946 - March 9, 2022
Born and raised in the Inwood section of New York City, Kevin moved to West New York, New Jersey at the age of 13. He graduated from Memorial High School in 1965 and enlisted in the Air Force in 1966 where he served his country during the Vietnam War before being honorably discharged on February 2, 1972.
It was while stationed in Washington where Kevin met Shirley, the love of his life.
He and his new bride returned to New Jersey in 1970 where they welcomed their first of three children. Soon after they made their home in Weehawken.
The house was his crowning achievement. Kevin worked in many different arenas over the years: a producer for PBS, the garment district, on many political campaigns, and the Essex County Sheriff's Department. In 2018, Kevin and his wife moved to Parsippany to be closer to their children and grandchildren.
Kevin was a lover of the written word and could be found reading in his library or on the front porch. He was also a theater lover, an avid Yankees and NY sports fan, and a reminiscer of all things yesteryear. In his opinion, indoor plumbing was the world's greatest invention, Sinatra was the greatest crooner of all time, and nothing compared to a good cup of coffee percolated for exactly six minutes.
He is preceded in death by his younger brothers Brian and Gary.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Shirley (Dunn), his children: Timothy M. and his wife, Maria, Stephanie and her husband, Jerry Frade, and Katherine and her husband, Greg Ferrante, his grandchildren: Ian, Paige, Brendan, Gregory, Benjamin, Nicholas, and Vincent, and his sister Eileen. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
