Robert Charles Lawson, born March 6th, 1937, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 15th.

He was the loving son of Gale and Helen Lawson ( deceased ) and was pre-deceased by his beloved sister Betty Jo Struble. He is survived by his dear brother Edward Lawson and family and his daughter Christina Carr.

Robert was born and raised in Illinois and graduated class of 1954 from Moline Senior High School where he excelled at baseball and drafting. He later served his country honorably for 20 years in the Army which included tours of duty in Vietnam.

Robert could often be found engaged in one of his two passions: Bowling in a number of leagues at 88 Lanes Bowling Alley or in attendance at the Howell Elks Club. Wherever he was, his quick humor, easy smile and generous presence will long be remembered and missed.

A visitation will be held at D'elia Funeral Home Route 70 & Vermont Avenue in Lakewood, NJ 08701 on Sunday, March 20th from 9am-12noon.
