It is in great sadness that we say goodbye to Eric Foster Hale who passed away unexpectedly on January 25th, 2021. He was born October 21, 1965 to John & Kathleen (Laribee) Hale.

In his youth, his father instilled into him his passion for motorcycles. Eric spent his childhood racing Rupp and Yamaha both amateur and professionally. When his father passed away in 1983, Eric and his brother Lee took over as second-generation owners of the family business Hale's Sport Center selling Yamaha and Harley-Davidson Motorcycles. Eric was a proud owner and operator of Hale's Sport Center where he was able to spend over 40 years doing what he loved to do – working with his family at the dealership. He touched so many lives through his spirit and passion for motorcycling.

Eric was a loving and generous man who enjoyed to cook, drink, entertain, and make the people around him happy – most of all his wife Kim. Eric and Kim loved to spend time at their favorite spot, the pool house, travel, get into new adventures and hang out with their great dane Boozer. Eric was known for many things. One being he has one thumb, he can never make the same recipe twice, and taught when possible to always eat dessert first. Eric was a true family man and would do anything for those around him. He was a jack of all trades and loved helping on any project. Especially if it included playing around on his Kubota tractor. He was an avid vintage Yamaha motorcycle collector and was known for his epic zinger barn party races. Eric was a loving husband, father, and brother. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Eric Hale is survived by his wife, Kim Hale, with whom he spent over five incredible years with. Also survived by son, John Lester Hale; daughter, Brittany Morgan Hale (Bryan Nelson), and brother, Lee Lloyd Hale (Angie). Also survived by extended family Cody (Kali) Hughes, Jessica Hughes, Josh (Crystal) Hughes, Larry (Susan) Kochheiser, Marge Kochheiser, Karen Kochheiser, Austin Kochheiser, Makayla Kochhesier, and grandchildren, Clint, Cole, Eva, Kaden, and Ellie. Eric Hale is preceded in death by his parents John and Kathleen (Laribee) Hale.
