Betty Jane (Fox) Brooks of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma left her earthly home of 96 years on March 24, 2022. She was surrounded by her children, as she went to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. Betty was born on October 20, 1925 in Washington, D.C. to Charles Benjamin & Tennie Jane Fox. She was the first born of six children. She graduated high school from Capitol Hill in 1944. After high school, she met the love of her life, J.D. Brooks. They were married for over 71 years and blessed with three sons.

Betty loved spending her time sewing, crocheting and drawing. She crocheted many dollies and hats that she would bless others with. She had a deep love for God's Word & His creation, especially birds. She loved serving in her church & taught the little children Sunday school class for over fifty years. She was a faithful charter member of Sunnyside Baptist Church. Betty loved reading God's word, which she did daily until she was unable. Betty loved to sing songs & hymns from her youth and knew many. Her sweet nature brought smiles to many faces.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband J.D., grandson Andrew, brother Charles & sister Beverly.
