She trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and quickly soon, went into the theatrical side of acting. In 1956, she made her television debut on the series "Rheingold Theatre." Besides "Coronation Street," she would go on to appear in such series as "The Eustace Diamonds," "Barnaby Rudge," "Barney Is My Darling," "Heil Caesar!," "Crown Court," "Grange Hill," and "Heartbeat." She also appeared in numerous films during her career.
