Linda Ann Padgett, 75, of Thornville, Ohio, passed away at 6:05 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2022, at Central Ohio Hospice in Newark after a long illness.

Linda was born February 28, 1947, in Newark, Ohio to the late Edward and Helen (Swinehart) Padgett.

She was a 1965 graduate of Sheridan High School and went on to business college in Columbus.

She had been a certified accountant for various businesses; State Farm Regional Office, Kaiser, Ludowici, and Fairfield Medical Center.

She is survived by her siblings, Nancy (Brad) Crossan, Karen "Suze" (Greg) Litzinger, Jerald E. Padgett, Ronnie (Cathy) Padgett, and Patsy (Richard) VanSickle; an aunt, Annie "Beverly" Childs who was always like a sister; nieces and nephews, Andy (Peggy) Deible, Rick Deible, Kary Sue (Peter) Perkovic, Kelly (Mike) Krokonko, Kristy (Jeff) Miner, Travis (Sheri) VanSickle, Derrick (Jenny) VanSickle, Dustin (Britty) Padgett, Brandice Padgett, Robert (Tara Crane) Padgett, Catrina (Michael) Nash and Scott (Erin) Crossan; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

There will be a private family service, with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.

Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset is entrusted with the arrangements.
