Yvonne Louise Hughes Brown, age 69, of Electra, Texas passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022, in Electra, Texas.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2022, in Electra Memorial Park with Joe Grace officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
Yvonne was born January 13, 1953 in Graham, Texas to the late William Riley Hughes, Jr. and Reba Geneva Baber Hughes. She lived in Graham, Oklahoma, Marble Falls and all over the hill country, south Texas and then Wichita Falls. She worked with her mother and father at Hughes Commercial Bait Sales for 15 years and Geneva and Yvonne's Bait Shop till the age of thirty-six. She then was a dietician for sixteen years.
Yvonne married Arvell James Brown on February 10, 2006 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma . He preceded her in death on August 9, 2021.
Yvonne enjoyed touring all the states national parks, caves. mountains, waterfalls, lighthouses, ocean, swimming, fishing, camping and cooking out. She also enjoyed raising her yorkies, gardening, canning and cooking. She loved family gatherings, music and her antique collectors.
Yvonne and her husband, Arvell, moved around with his favorite company where he was a great electrician in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee and Iowa. They then bought a couple of acres and a double wide and settled down in Electra, Texas.
Survivors include two sons, James Glover and wife, Debbie of Electra and Michael Glover of Electra; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Billie Faye Davis.
