Helen Anna Marie Taylor, 96, passed away peacefully with her children by her side on March 21, 2022. Born to George and Marie Krumm in Lincoln, NE on December 31, 1925. Preceded in death by her brother, Clarence Krumm.

Helen married the love of her life, Alton Taylor, in 1948. Their love story of 62 years started when they met at the Nebraska State Fair before he was shipped overseas during WWII. He preceded her in death in 2010.

Family was everything to Helen. She was a loving mother to Jim and Sherry. She was "Granny" to her grandchildren who provided joy throughout her life: Bradley, Brittany, Blake and was thrilled to be a "Great-Granny" to Claire.

Helen graduated from Lincoln High School and attended the University of Nebraska. Fairfield has been home to Helen for 49 years. During that time, she enjoyed her work at the Butler County Board of Education where she retired in 1988. Helen and her husband were active members of Lindenwald United Methodist Church where they made many wonderful friends. The most treasured moments in her life have been the times she spent with family which was witnessed by the hundreds of school events, sports games, dance classes, and family gatherings that she attended over the years. She was happiest with family!
