Born and raised in Middle Georgia, Marlene was a stay-at-home mother to her two children in Warner Robins. She was a fan of shopping, especially for jewelry. Marlene loved to create with her hands and her outlets were coloring and crocheting. She was an avid Hallmark Channel watcher and enjoyed going out to eat with her family and friends. Her favorite vacation spot was anywhere on the beach.
In addition to her parents, Marson and Doris Bostick Felker, Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Ross McCullough; and brothers, Butch Felker and Joel Felker.
Left to cherish her memory include her children, Lynn Poole (Mark) and Terry Layfield (Belinda); grandchildren, Jessica Davis (Anthony Northern), Keely Mitchell (Hernan Hernandez "aka Speedy), Grace Layfield, and Turner Layfield; and great grandchildren, Tanner Davis, Liam Davis, Dalton Rhett Northern, Kaleisa Northern, Aubrey Northern, and one great grandchild on the way; siblings, Larry Felker (Gaye), Gloria Kelley (Robert), and Carol Bell (Robert); sisters-in-law, Gladys Felker and Brenda Nettles; and a bonus grandchild, Nicholas Lovvorn.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at McCullough Funeral Home. Her service will begin immediately following visitation at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Marlene will be laid to rest at Magnolia Park Cemetery.
