The funeral of Mrs. Eva Geraldine Blanchet of 6 Second Street, widow of Paul F. Blanchet, was held today from St. Paul's Anglican Church at Rothesay with service conducted by Rev. Canon C. J. Markham and interment at Fernhill Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Arthur Kennedy, Harley Jolly, Arthur Fairweather, David Fraser, Paul and James Blanchet. Among the many floral tributes were those from: Saint John Garrison Officers' Mess, commanding officers No. 6 Militia Group Headquarters, Saint John General Hospital Maintenance Staff, Saint John General Hospital Accounting Office, Administration Staff Saint John General Hospital, W. C. Pitfield Co. and Hugh Mackay Co., Acme Construction Co.

Native Of Ontario Dies In Saint John
A wide circle of relatives and friends will regret to learn of the death of Mrs. Eva Geraldine Blanchet, widow of Paul F. Blanchet, which occurred at the home of her son, Paul Maurice Blanchet, 6 Second Street, Saturday following a long illness.
Born at Hayesville, Ont., April 22, 1875, a daughter of the late Dr. Maurice and Minnie (Tye) O'Connor, she resided in Rothesay for 50 years and took up residence with her son during the past year. Active in church and community work, she held membership in the Woman's Auxiliary of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Rothesay, and the Duke of Rothesay Chapter of the IODE. Surviving are two sons, Paul Maurice, Saint John, and Eric Sydney, Vancouver; one daughter Mrs. L. W. Fraser, Halifax, one sister, Mrs. Lillian Gennison, Bay City, Mich., 18 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The body is resting at the home of her son, from where the funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon to St. Paul's Anglican Church with service at 2.30 o'clock. Interment will be in Fernhill Cemetery.
