Mr. Carl Raymond Garrett, age 71, of Oak Park, died Thursday, March 24, 2022, at his home after an extended illness. He was a native of Laurens County and was a 1968 graduate of East Laurens High School. He moved to Lakeland, Florida for three years and attended Southeastern Bible College. He was an Air Force veteran and served during the Vietnam Era. He lived in Jacksonville, Florida for twenty-one years and was an active member of Glad Tidings of Jacksonville where he taught Sunday school and served as Sunday School Superintendent. He was also the owner of Garrett Carpet Cleaning for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Thurston Garrett and Annie Cantrell Garrett; and his siblings, Leroy Garrett, Junior Garrett, J.W. Garrett, Aubrey Garrett, Wendell Garrett, Ray Garrett, Randall Garrett, Robert C. Garrett, Lamar Garrett, and Katie Kea.
