Norvella was born May 17, 1931 near Lahoma to Norval and Alice (Finkenbinder) Buckminster and passed away March 24, 2022. She was baptized at Drummond Congregational Church and was a member of Carrier Congregational Church. Norvella graduated from Drummond High School in 1949. She also graduated from Enid Business College. Norvella helped her husband Ray with their farm and ranch operation in the Carrier area. Norvella enjoyed volunteering, reading and spending time with family. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Ray E. Nelson; siblings, John Norval Buckminster, Dorothy Went, Virginia Hill, Evelyn Young, and Charles Buckminster.
