LOSEKE - Walter E. Loseke, 71, of 2422 23rd Street, died Wednesday at Behlen Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Paul Rewoldt [sic] officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The body will lie in state after 1 p.m. at Gass-Haney Funeral Home and from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
Born April 26, 1904, in Colfax County, he was the son of Gerhard and Minnie (Luesche) Loseke. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Leigh. He attended Colfax County schools.
Mr. Loseke was a lifetime resident of the area and worked as a welder and sold Standard Feeds. He was a member of Eagles and of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include Frances Prososki, one son, Gary of Norfolk; one adopted daughter, Mrs. Frank K. Knox of Visialia, Calif.; one granddaughter, Allison Rae of Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. Alma Asche of Columbus, Mrs. Elmer (Elisa) Busse of Leigh, Mrs. Bertha Schlutter of Leigh; and three brothers, Arnold and William of Leigh, and Otto of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
