Graveside services were held at 11 AM, Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Riverbend Cemetery in Irwin County. Bishop Frankie Tyson officiated.
Mrs. Tyson was born March 20, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois. She was a homemaker and a pastor's wife to her husband of 46 years. She was a beloved mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by everyone that her life touched. She was of the Church of God faith.
She is survived by two sons: Jimmy E. "Jet" Tyson, Jr. of Mississippi and David Glynn Tyson of Smyrna, Tennessee; and three grandchildren: Alexandra Tyson, John Avery Tyson, and Bryson Tyson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Jimmy E. Tyson, Sr; and her parents, Andrew & Nellie Mathers.
