Rose Marie Brown, age 93, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2022, in Parkway Center, Sterling, IL.
She was born on January 23, 1929, in Parsons, KS, the daughter of Ralph and Nellie (Dorsett) Pritchard.
Rose attended Nelson Grade School and was a 1947 graduate of Rock Falls High School. Rose married Charles L. Brown, Jr. in 1947 and he preceded her in death in1990; Together they had 5 children. Rose was a devout Catholic and attended Sacred Heart Church. She was a hairdresser for many years and her greatest joy was her grandchildren.
Rose is survived by her children, two daughters and their husbands and two sons and their wives; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and her sister.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; infant daughter, Mary; brother, Leo; sister, Lois; grandson, Drew and granddaughter, Athena.
Cremation rites have been accorded with Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL. There will be a private family memorial service at a later date.
