Robert E. "Bob" Bray, Sr., 79, of Henryville, IN, passed away at 1:28 PM on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at his home.
Bob was born on August 24, 1942, in Louisville, KY. He is the son of Joseph Willard Bray and Mary Virginia (Kitner) Bray who are both deceased.
He was a 1960 Jeffersonville High School graduate. After graduation, he enlisted into the United States Army, served during the Korean War, and was honorably discharged in 1964.
On February 20, 1965, at Blue Lick Christian Church, he married Dorothy L. "Dottie" (Broady) Bray who preceded him in death on January 23, 2017.
Bob retired from the former Oxy Chemical Company, worked at PQ Corporation, and Holmes Industries.
Bob was a member of Blue Lick Christian Church and the Moose Lodge. He loved going to church, reading the Bible, and watching NASCAR, basketball, and football. He was a proud supporter of the Indianapolis Colts and IU.
Survivors include his children, Robert E. (Kimberly) Bray Jr. of Henryville, IN and Michael Joseph Bray of Henryville, IN, 3 grandchildren, Brittany Michelle (Joshua) Nichols, Richard (Kari) Stoneberger, Rachel Marie (Ian Hamilton) Bray, 4 great grandchildren, Connor & Sawyer Nichols and Jaiden and Lilah Stoneberger,
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Michelle Bray on May 16, 2019, and an infant sister, Irene Marie Bray.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Henryville, IN, with visitation from Noon until the service time. Cremation will follow the funeral service.
