Vickie L. Newman of Indianapolis, Indiana had been battling cancer in some form for years. She had been a very tough adversary to this hateful disease, fighting every step of the way! Her family has watched her as she has triumphed many times, but in secret becoming so very weary that she has now earned a well deserved rest. On April 2, 2015, she went on to her heavenly home.

Born to John Willis and Viola Ruth Willis in Athens, Ohio on May 24, 1947.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Newman; her daughters, Monica (Tony) Starling and Lorenda (Mike) Benge; her grandsons, Evan Michael Benge and Ethan Nathanial Benge whom brought her much joy. She is also survived by three step-grandchildren, Stacie Starling, Justin Benge and Joshua Benge; her sister, Josephine Evener of Athens, Ohio; many nieces, nephews and family whom affectionately called her nana. She loved to laugh, loved her family deeply and will be greatly missed!
