Robert C. "Bob" Beck, 86, of Galveston, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022. He was born June 17, 1935, in Young America, Indiana to Russell and Mary (Cripe) Beck. He married Delores "Joella" Buettner on January 25, 1958 in Logansport, Indiana and she preceded him in death on October 5, 2017.

Bob was a 1953 graduate of Young America High School. He worked for Med-O-Bloom Dairy and the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier for many years. He loved puttering around his home and sitting on his front porch swing. He served his country bravely in the United States Army. His grandchildren and great grandchildren brought him much Joy.

Surviving family include his two daughters, Terri Robertson of Galveston and Linda (Tim) Bruner of Walton. Surviving grandchildren include Chad (Vanessa) Robertson and Caleb (Micah) Bruner. Surviving great grandchildren are Kendall, Jacob, Jude, Mollie, Brittyn and Maryn. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Joella and brother Danny.
